40 days and 40 nights

It rained today (Saturday)- again. Hard rains all through the day with thunder booming. My nephew came in at one point and said he had "Good news and bad news. Good news was it had stopped raining." I said, "No, it paused." He nodded and said, "That's the bad news. There's a big storm cloud that way, a small one that way and another one that way, no matter what way the clouds are moving it's about to start up again."

He made another comment about at least it wasn't going to last 40 days and 40 nights and I had to ask him if he was sure. I'm not sure how long it's been keeping it up, but at least a couple weeks to a month with only about an hour or so of clear skies at a time. I'm so sick of rain. I want to go out and work in the garden, but the foul weather has kept me out of the garden to the point that it's growing over.

Maybe it'll clear up after the State Fair. That's the end of this month start of September. Rain's probably just waiting for the fair to end before it leaves.
