Computer driving me insane

Okay, this antique I am using is going to drive me insane. I get something typed then wait 3 mintes for the computer to catch up so I can see it printed on the screen and know if it was typed out right or not. That is just insane. I have this thing stripped down to nearly nothing, but it's from the mid 80's so it's still slower than mollasses in January.

Can't wait to find out what's going on with that eMachine I got from WalMart. Bill had thought ir was the power pack, but that seems oksy, he tried hardwiring the power button - that didn't help. He's checking now to see if it has a circuit breaker thingy on the motherboard that fried out.

Please please please, any higher powers that are listening, take pity oin me - help my eMachine get working. I'm going loco!!!
