their about page to find out more about the site and the people that are behind it.
The site name, Inasra, is a combination of two words. Indian (In) and Asra which the site says means "shelter" in Hindi.
If you visit India be certain that you make time to take a tour of the architectural treasures of the country. They begin in the 3rd millennium BC. Buddhist stupas are the earliest architectural monuments at 230-500 AD, with perhaps the most magnificent of archetectural design being, of course, the perfect domes and filigree of the Taj Mahal at Agra. British influences is visible in all the presidency towns of Mumbai, Calcutta, Chennai and New Delhi.
Shopping is perhaps the largest draw I have encounterd over the years on why someone has visited India. Silks, brass, carved figurines, marble inlaid with semi-precious stones, jewelry and carpets are only a very few of the treasures that can be found in the markets.
