National Novel Writing Month Approaches

Have you heard of NaNoWriMo? That's the National Novel Writer's Month. It is an insane rush to write a 50,000 word story from November 1st to November 30th. That's a bit over 1,500 words a day, every day, for thirty days. Not to be attempted by slow writers, although the goal is not in reaching 50,000 words, although that is a wonderful experience, the goal is in reaching one word.

Just type one word on the page and you have won. Add a second word, then a third and you have given the challenge a honest effort. The words will build up and rather you reach the end of the month with 50,000 words or with 50 words you will know that you have worked hard for the sake of finding the muse within and you will have a start on your future novel.

Check out NaNoWriMo and if you decide to participate and want someone to talk about the insanity with look me up - I'm writing under the name 'Phantascene'.
