Fix has done something that has regained a lot of my respect, they have decided - according to the news a few minutes ago - to pull the O.J. Simpson 2 part deal they had been going to show next week. I think is was a wide move on the part of Fox and according to the news several of their affiliates had already refused to air the program.
"If I did it" was to examine what happened from the supposidly hypothetical perspective of O.J. Simpson confessing to dual murders. I have to say that I had never really paid much attention to rather he was guilty or not, but in my opinion there is no longer any doubt. No one says that if they hypothetically did something that's how they did it - not about murder and not about the murder of your children's mother.
The way the news showed the blub it read like the book was canceled as well - we can only hope that it was.
I had not been going to mention this on my blog, not wanting to add to the any press is helpful press of the program - but now that it has been canceled I wanted to thank Fox for doing so.
And my most heartfelt sympathies to the families on having to go through this and having it all brought back up just in an effort by a man wanting to either scratch money out of a tragedy or confess to what he did or both.
Edit: okay, the book seems to have been pulled too. So there is still a value on doing the right thing that money can not buy.
