It's COLD out there

Okay, went into the front of the house to put on coffee, and there was ice on the little metal latch plate thingy on the back door. I was not brave enough to check the temperature but I know it's cold outside.

We do need better weather-stripping around that door, but usually we don't get the ice inside like that until around December or January. brrr.

It's been clear and sunny for a few days and while that's wonderful and beautiful and made for a lovely full moon last night, it's also a LOT colder when there is no cloud cover. Such a lousy trade off. Warmth or sunlight. We don't get enough sunlight as it is this time of year dangit.
