You've seen me talking about PayPerPost, the Consumer Generated Advertising Network that has caused such a stir in the blogosphere since it first started. It is a dotcom startup that has caused a lot of talk and has people that, as a general rule, are completely supportive or completely unsupportive of it.
But through all the trials and tribulations, good times and hard times, the startup has seemed to keep going and does not show any signs of stopping.
Indeed - there is now a web reality show that looks behind the scenes, that takes you, via iTunes subscription or on-site watching via YouTube, behind the website and into the meetings. Lets you see the team member confessionals that tell you what it is really like to work at this startup.
Currently listing two episodes, Rockstartup.com takes you into the background of the show and tells you what it's all about with it's first episode.
I think that it is great fun to watch the confessionals that have been made for the team members, enjoying the chances to get a peek into the lives of the people behind PayPerPost and find out what the day to day job demands of them or what secrets they hold. I also can't wait to get a chance to watch the "crash and burn meetings" and find out exactly how some of the insanity comes about. There has to be a story behind some of the things they have done. Such as their storming of the Today Show, or where exactly DID that kewl truck come from? I don't think I ever heard that story exactly.
So, if you're the kind that has been scratching your head and wondering just where these dotcom success stories come from and how you might one day be a success story yourself (and who does not want to find that trick out?) then I suggest you take a peek at the web reality show that will tell you what PayPerPost is all about from the inside. Learn how it all happens and maybe understand a little better just how they seemed to have gone from unknown to the talk of the blogosphere in seemingly no time at all.
