Well, this is a ... interesting way to start the day off

I suppose this is what I get for spending all night awake cleaning in the basement. I log into the computer for a few minutes and find out that PayPerPost (known as a leader in the blog advertising circles) has been busy. They have scooped up one of my favorite sites. =-O

Performancing.com, for them that don't know, is a rather nifty site that has a lot of goodies for bloggers. My personal favorite (which although they did not scoop up I hope they are encouraged to make add ons for) is the Performancing for Firefox blog editor. (Pssst - PPP! This deal desperately needs a word count!)

Anyway, they have gained a few nifty things in their unexpected (by me at least) move. Performancing Metrics is a cool blog analytics service that I have been using for a while now. Absolutely love it and can't wait to see where the folks at PPP take it. Their other acquisition, which I have unfortunately not had time yet to look into, is the Performancing Exchange - a blogger classifieds where bloggers and employers can connect for both long and short-term work.

Something that I would like to see PPP do is maybe clean the site up a little? I keep looking along the top of the page for the link to the Metrics link then remembering that I have to scroll down and look on the right. easy to find short cuts would be wonderful. Ideal would be a way to set things up in a customized way so that logging in could take you straight to the area you use the most often.

I'm sure I won't be disappointed whatever they end up doing with their new acquisitions, and I am really jazzed to hear about it. Can't wait to see what is next!
