Ford Mustangs - what's not to love? [sponsored post]

Okay, I suppose that with a yard overflowing with Ford Mustangs in all stages of condition thanks to having an older brother that is a restorer and painter of these magnificent cars, I should definitely be talking about them.

In all honesty, I don't know a lot about the cars, but I know more about them than I do any other car out there. I can look at a Mustang and tell you that it is, indeed, a Mustang. I can even name the year on a few of them - such as the '64 1/2 (gawd I love that car! My brother had one too).

Trust me, if you want a car that is a piece of America - get a classic Mustang. Shelby knew what he was doing. And as a grease monkey that has swapped three different truck engines and had my hands greasy by nearly anything on four wheels, I can tell you the Mustang is one of the sweetest cars there is. (Yes, I can change an engine on a Ford pickup, pull the thermostat out of a Pinto and change the brake pads on a motorhome, but I don't know how to "talk cars". I was taught what I know by my dad and brother in gold old fashioned shade tree and a beer mechanics. The kind of mechanics work that most folks I know with Mustangs prefer.)

People will tell you they like them newer Mustangs, like the 1994 Mustang, and such - my brother even drives one. Me?... nah, I like the old fastbacks and muscle machines that made the Ford Mustang the classic that everyone wanted and car lovers dream about. The car that rumbles softly past and turns heads like Baby in the Mel McDaniel song "Baby's got her Blue Jeans on" (great song).
