Gravity - Illustration Friday

I am not going to get this into painting format before the end of the week, so for this week's Illustration Friday topic of "Gravity" I have a bit of pencil artwork that is a layout sketch for what will become an acrylic painting of a pegasi rider that is thinking very seriously about gravity at the moment.

In the painting the rider will be lowered a bit further down on the reins, giving a little more proper distance to where the rider would haven been holding the reins when they fell.

I'm not sure how well it shows up here, but the cause of this situation is a broken stirrup that is falling away toward the bottom of the picture.

This sketch is 12"x18" - which is a bit smaller than the painting will be. I'm considering a finished work of 15"x20".
