My submission for Illustration Friday, something I have decided to work on each week to help me with my painting and keep me inspired with it.This last week's theme was "crash" and I decided to paint a juvenile dragon that is not yet very good at either flying or balancing on a branch captured in the moment between the call from the branch and the crash onto the soft forest floor. A lesson learned that could have been from a much higher perch.
I'm slipping this in just under the wire, actually had it finished a couple days ago but things kept getting in the way of posting it.
This is an acrylic painting done on Masonite and is about 3.5" by 7" in size.
(sorry for the poor quality picture - my camera is not very good.)
