Low bid wins

And the winner is... The lowest unique bid. Imagine winning an auction because you have the lowest bid, these are free gifts such as Apple I-phones, HDTV's, designer bags and PS3's. Yes, it's possible to win these things for the lowest bid. Bid4Prizes is a site where bidders compete to get in the lowest unique bid. Sounds complicated, huh? It's sort of like a sweepstakes where the winner of the prize is narrowed down by their careful betting skills. So, how does it work exactly?

Let's say that you have 5 people bidding on something. Bidder 1 places a bid of $1.73, along comes bidder number two and bids .98 on the item, becoming the new lowest bidder. Another fellow bids .05 for it, low bid is now .05 so the third guy is winning. But wait, a new bidder comes in and bids .05 too. .05 is no longer a unique bid, there are two of them, the bidder that bid .98 is now the lowest unique bidder and is winning, until a fifth fellow comes along and places a bid of .03 and wins the auction for three cents.

So, how does the site make money if they are letting bidders walk away with lowest bid? Most of the bidding is done by cell phone at a rate of $9.99 billed monthly to the bidder's cell phone bill for premium membership, non-premium members must view advertisements. Bidders are limited to winning one prize every 90 days, and all shipping costs and applicable taxes are your responsibility.

And, in addition to the other prizes you can bid on, you can even get a cash prize at Bid4Prizes. I'd think they're worth checking out, don't you?
