Never buy a PDA off eBay

I've determined that I am not going to ever try buying a PDA off eBay again.

The one I had bought ended up not syncing with my computer (tried it on 4 different computers - two from the same years as the Palm m130 PDA I bought.) The guy gave me a run around on the
damages and when I pointed out that I could request a refund on them gave me back a $10 partial refund plus $10 toward the $40 I had spent on a non-returnable replacement sync cradle that he said would cure the trouble. Now he is pissed at me because I had logged into my eBay account and found it was locked waiting for me to tell them rather or not I was really returning the PDA for a refund. I explained the situation to them and now have an e-mail from the seller upset with me because - "You just had to say yes and I was going to be able to close it and receive a refund. Nothing off of your skin. Thanks." I'm sorry, but I am not going to lie to eBay that I sent it back just so he could avoid paying his seller's fees to them. That's more than slightly illegal.

Learned my lesson though, I'm not going to be buying any more PDAs off eBay, when I get my PDA it'll be brand new and I'll give this one to my mom for tracking my dad's appointments. She don't have a computer and hates the things, so there will be no problem with it being busted and not able to sync.

Yes, I checked for SUDS - the problem seems to be associated to a fall the thing had suffered that left the back of the case cracked (something he had not put in the ad when I bought it as "like new".)

::shakes head:: Expensive lesson with a headache attached, but I have learned it.
