YES!! Way to Go Lance Mackey!!!!!! Winner of the 2007 Iditarod!

Lance Mackey did it! He just won the Iditarod!

It was a beautiful race and a beautiful win. Sixth race, bib number 13, just like his father and brother before him, Lance Mackey came down the street in Nome and under the burled arch to win the 2007 Iditarod and a new truck.

Congratulations!!!!!!!

I started out hoping Dee Dee Janrowe would win, but after she scratched out from a broken finger, soon after the race started, I turned my hopes to Lance Mackey for the win.

Lance Mackey's father, Dick Mackey from Nenana, beat Rick Swenson by one second in 1978. The win decided in a photo finish of the lead dog's nose crossing the line. He was wearing bib number 13, running in his sixth race.

Lance Mackey's brother, Rick Mackey, won the race in 1983. The first son of an Iditarod champion to win the Iditarod. Wearing bib number 13 and running in his sixth Iditarod.

I'd say 13 is definitely not an unlucky number, at least not for the Mackey family.

WAY TO GO LANCE!!!!!!!!

Wow, that's amazing! I'd say the number 6 is pretty lucky for them, too!
