Rick Rydell reports the WWII memorial was defaced

My dad woke me up for something earlier and, just as I got in there, Rick Rydell was finishing up talking about someone having defaced the WWII memorial. I missed the start, and so had my dad, but dad said he thought it was the one here in Alaska.

No matter where it is, I have determined that Rick was right when he said that the news was not going to be covering it. I have spent almost an hour now searching the Internet (and I'm not exactly a noob about searching for information on the Internet), I can not find anything about this vandalism.

I tried to check out KENI 650's website, but I can't find anything there either. And Rick don't seem to have his own page. Why not? Come on, Rick, you should at least have a page at KENI's site. Shouldn't you? Somewhere that you can drop information like this for people like me that pays attention and wants to know more. ::pouts:: Instead all I can find there when I click on Rick Rydell's name is "NASA Astronaut John Phillips Ph. D. with Rick in the studio". I love NASA, you should all know that by now, but I wanted something a bit more focused on Rick's current show and the things he talks about on it. ::nudges the folks at Clear Channel:: Come on, give the man a page at least, don't have to be a whole website, just one little page on your site. Shoot, Wikipedia has better coverage on Rick Rydell than KENI 650 has.

Anyway, I'll check on this again tonight, see what else I can find out about this vandalism. I have to spend the day in Anchorage, so it'll be late before I can look into this again. Probably a good thing, since I am starting to get a headache because my jaw's clenched. I can't figure out what kind of person it would take to scratch crap into a memorial to veterans that sacrificed everything. What really sickened me was that in searching for information I saw stuff on the Vietnam memorials having been threatened with being defaced and guarded by veterans. I didn't read the articles, too irritated already, so I am not sure when that occurred. Did see 2007 on the snippet at Google though, so it's recent news.

I better go find another topic to get going on, since I can't find more about this yet and am just getting more growly as I think more on it. Stupid vandals.
