A Stamp Is Forever

I suppose that the diamond folks will have to find themselves a new slogan, because apparently now "A stamp is forever" I'm talking, of course, about the Forever Stamp that the U.S. post office has out. The stamp that will lock in the price of a first class letter to the price you pay for the stamp.

I can see instances where this would be a very good deal, in small doses. I'm not sure I would go to the extremes of buying $8,000.00 worth of the things like one fellow did.

But for someone that can't get out easily and buys stamps in large amounts anyway, this would be a good deal to keep from having to go back after one and two cent stamps after a price hike. Or for writers that want to be able to send off guideline requests hassle free. These stamps make sense for them.
