Thursday Thirteen: 13 Things To Like About Cats

In honor of my Harry - I am doing a Thursday 13 on 13 things to like about cats.. so, here we go... (I had to use this image - it makes me think of a pair of cat's eyes.)

13 Things To Like About Cats

1. a cat is dependent and will not require your attention at all times to be happy

2. a cat can be entertained with nothing more than a ball of yarn

3. cats keep down the rodent population in the summer

4. cats make great foot warmers on a cold night

5. cats also make a warm muffler on a cold night

6. cats do not look at you like you lost your mind when you talk to them - they expect it in fact, they are, after all more intelligent than humans

7. cats act funny as heck when you put a bell on them the first time and they want to try to learn how to keep it from making noise as they walk

8. catnip. In most cases that is enough said - unless your cat is like mine and does not like catnip

9. cats can teach you how to land on your feet no matter what angle you are falling at

10. cats are like tribbles. They purr nearly non-stop, love to be petted, and if you are not careful you will soon be up to your ears in them.

11. cats hardly ever go on the carpet or bite visitors for no reason

12. cats have 9 lives, which can teach us that there is always another chance to get things right

13. cats can make you smile without even trying
