Australia

Looking more into thoughts of travel in Australia, and investigating the options for a Hotel in Melbourne, I can not help but wish that I had thought seriously on this a few months ago. The 2007 Melbourne International Film Festival started on July 25th and will be closing on August 12th. That is something that I would have liked to have got a chance to attend. I may not be making films as I had thought I would be when I was a kid, but I still love the entire concept and experience and would like to get a chance to attend a film festival one day.

I'm not going to be discouraged, however, and would still love to get a chance to visit. One place I want to look for is good Hotel in Sydney so I can check out things such as the Royal Botanic Gardens, which set right on the edge of the harbor. That would have to be a beautiful way to spend an afternoon, but more than that I want to check out the two tours offered by the Warrumbungle National Park Discovery Program. The tours introduce you to Aboriginal culture, which is something that I find as fascinating as Native American cultures.

Although I went looking around for something that might give me reason to shop for a Hotel in Brisbane I did not find a lot that interested me as far as things to do there went. I probably overlooked something, but they seem to be more into modern types of entertainment than the history of the country stuff that I would find fascinating. If I want to spend the night dancing in a nightclub I can stay in the States - if I travel to Australia I want to spend time discovering things I could not discover anywhere else.
