OOAK polymer clay figure

I've got a little polymer clay doll in the works right now, and even though I was aiming for a little old lady, it is starting to look more like a infant in the face. I find it really funny, I have never been very good at making infant faces, and yet as I try to make a old woman's face I am getting one that looks more like an infant's. I think the cheeks are too big is my problem, so will shave them down some and see if that helps. I'd hate to have to start over on her, I been working on this face off and on for three days now.
