CareBears Music for me! a personalized CD for children from PersonalizedStories.com

PersonalizedStories.com sent me a CD of children's songs for my niece, Camille. "CareBears Music for me!" I was listening to it and getting addicted myself to these catchy little songs. Each of the 8 songs has a running time of between just over three minutes to just under four minutes and have the child's name digitally worked into them. I could not tell that the name was digitally entered in most cases and doubt that any child this CD would be fore would realize that their name was not a part of the original song.

I was a little disappointed when I opened the CD in my computer based CD program that the tracks had no names displayed on them, but that is a very minor problem. The only other flaw I noticed was that there is approximately an 15 second delay between the end of the first song and the start of the next, but I think a child would still be bouncing and repeating the song during that time, so it is likely no more than a nice break for the parent or babysitter. ::snicker:: The rest of the songs on the CD have a average of roughly 5 seconds of delay between them.

There is a magic about being a part of a story or song. When I was a little girl I used to buy those choose your own adventure books all the time because they let me feel like I was a part of the story, and that was one of the greatest things about reading and one of the things that made me a lifetime reader. The same effect of being a part of the story is the idea behind personalized childrens books, however, the personalized books take it one step further and actually make your child a part of the story - in name. The CD that I received has an adorable Care Bear toting a flag that tells the child they love her/him. At the base of the CD is the personalization area where it has the child's full name followed by who the gift is from. In my case the personal message reads:

To Camille ____ _____
With Love From Aunt Sandy

(I removed the middle and surnames from display to protect the child's identity.)

It is a wonderful gift that would be very special for any time or just to say that you love the child that it is personalized for. I am just grateful that the personalized CDs and stories are inexpensive enough I can buy Camille's sisters each one when they find out I got their younger sister her very own Care Bear CD. LOL
