New background - what do you think of it?
What do you think of the backdrop on the site now? Is it too crowded? Too dark? Does it look okay since the blog is going to be more focused on travel in the future? I created the backdrop from a picture of an airport baggage claim pillar that was disguised as a stack of suitcases, did a little GIMPing to it (think Photoshoping, but free),and loaded it up as a background image here. I think it looks okay, but I'm not sure how it would show up on other screens or if it's too cluttered or too dark for other people's tastes - so, let me know what you think of it. Does it need to be changed in any way?

I think it's inspired! But you mean that's an actual thing in an airport somewhere? Whoa... I always wondered what they did with all those lost bags - never thought they turned them into part of the architecture though!
I like the dark edges setting off the new blog. Much like my own ChenaTravels blog.
