Touring the castles and other cultural attractions that make Germany and Austria world famous is something that I have wanted to do since I was a little girl and began having a fascination with knights and dragons. Vienna was originally a Celtic settlement that was founded around 500 BC. About 15 BC it became a Roman city that was used to help guard the Roman Empire from the Germanic tribes to the north.
I think that a proper tour of the cultural histories of both Berlin and Vienna would be best done by spending a week to a month in those cities so that you could visit cultural attractions such as the museums and historic places of interest. That starts by finding Hotels in Berlin (For the German version of this page visit Hotels in Berlin) in which to stay for a few days to a week or more, then moving your tour to Vienna by booking a room in one or more of the Hotels in Vienna (For the German version of this page visit Hotels in Vienna) from which you can explore.
There are settlements of Celtic origin along the Danube, near what is now the City of Vienna, that can be traced back to the 5th century BC. Given my fascination with the Celtic people, I would love to one day get the chance to visit that area and do some exploring of the history of those settlements. I would also be highly interested in discovering more about the arrival of the Romans and the Germanic tribes that the Roman Empire were defending against when they took over the area from the Celts.
