I've been sketching out ideas for that shower that I was saying I want to build here in the house. I think my best plan will be to start the entire bathroom off from scratch, even though I hate to loose the paintings that I had done in there. I'm thinking I'll be working toward a natural waterfall alcove type of look for the shower if my mom approves the design I have in mind.
First I have to build a place to move the washer and dryer, but once the laundry room is in that should leave a nice large area where they are now to build a good sized shower complete with one of them built in shower chairs so that my dad - who is in a wheelchair - can use the shower more easily. It should look really good if I can pull it off in reality the way I am seeing the shower in my mind.
Now I just have to find a home building program I can use to make a mock-up of the bathroom so I can see just how the design will look and show my mom what I wanna do.

my grandfather surely needs one of these. He is 92 and can't walk very well.
My dad's paralyzed on one side, so it's really hard for him to get into and out of a standard tub or shower stall. I'm designing my plan for a new shower around that.
