As a family caregiver I am always on the lookout for anything that might help family caregivers with the important task of providing care to their care recipients. That is why it caught my attention when I saw that Epocrates has medical PDA software.
Designed for physicians, the free medical PDA software allows physicians to use their PDA to check for dangerous drug interactions before writing a new prescription for their patients.
While I am not positive if the PDA software is available for family caregivers, I can see a definate use for it when shopping for OTC medicine or while on vacation and many other times when having medicine information in your pocket would be useful for family caregivers. And, even without the PDA software, caregivers can still use the search at the Epocrates website to investigate medications and check for possible interactions.
