Planning to travel Alaska this summer

Me and my mom have been talking about traveling this summer, not any sort of worldly travels, just more sight seeing in Alaska. Fairbanks is one place we have been thinking we would like to go to. We have been up there before, but it has been a while. I would like to get some time just to explore the city and maybe get some good pictures.

I need to look around and see what kinds of travel deals I can find for Alaska, maybe aee what it would cost to take the train to Fairbanks instead of driving up there. The cost of gas it could be a better deal to take the train and rent a car when we get up there.

The other place that I want to spend some time is down at Hope, which is a good destination since it is only a few hours drive from us. Take the trailer down there and spend the night, then head back home the next day. Fairbanks is something that would require a couple of days, preferably a few days to a week so that we could spend a day or two at Denali National Park as well.
