Spring comes slowly to Alaska

It has been snowing off and on here the past few days, making it a muggy start to the spring that is slow in arriving. As I write this I am watching a light misty rain/snowfall out the window. Yesterday I was out riding my ATV and hiking, but today it's back to cold and muggy out there.

I went out and got my bicycle out of the garage yesterday and have it ready to replace the cables and brakes and everything on. Might need to get new tires this year, but they might hold out another year. Need to take a closer look at them when I can get it into the house to work on it.

There are a lot of bicycle paths in this part of Alaska now, and I am eager to get to explore more of it this year.
