PDA medical dictionary - A caregiver travel necessity?

I keep a close eye on things that are of interest in the medical community, particularly when they might have some use out in the world of family caregivers, and when I saw the information on the PDA medical dictionary that Epocrates has I just had to take a closer look.

The PDA medical dictionary is designed for doctors to use when writing prescriptions. With the medical dictionary on their PDA they can reference information on new prescriptions and know in minutes if there is any conflicts with any of the medications the patient is currently taking.

I can see where this kind of software would be invaluable to a family caregiver, particularly when they have taken their care recipient on vacation. It would give them a pocket sized medical reference they can check themselves to know if medications that have been prescribed to their loved one are going to have any interaction problems with medications the care recipient is already taking.

I think that this is something that any caregiver that owns a PDA needs to have, particularly if they are going to be traveling with their care recipient. The Epocrates website has a products page (www.epocrates.com/products) where you can find out about the free and premium product offerings they have and check for mobile device compatibility.
