What happened to the bird smuggler?

I went looking a few minutes ago for anything more on the fellow that smuggled pigeons in his pants, but I can't find anything that is updated with just why he smuggled the birds in his pants. There was apparently a lot of contraband from seeds to an eggplant, so you would think that there would be something out there on just why he smuggled birds in his drawers. If anyone has heard anything on this, feel free to let me know in the comments.
