One of those weeks

Did you ever have one of those weeks where it seems like there is nothing that is going to go right? I've been fighting my internet connection all week and several websites that I need to get to have had some kind of problem where when I was able to get online, they seemed to be offline. I'm starting to think it is some kind of conspiracy or something. Either that or my computer is tossing fits since I run it all out all the time trying to keep up with work and life, treating it like it has Ferrari parts under the hood when it probably has nothing more than a hamster racing on a wheel in there.

Then Redoubt blew a fuse big enough that it dumped ash on us way out here, 100+ miles away from the volcano. That probably can't be good for the poor computer either, huh? I stepped out into the yard last night to get the dogs and could feel the speckles of sandy ash hitting my face. Was a weird experience. The wind kicked up before I was able to collect any of the ash this morning, but the snow was still all gray-colored, and there was enough out there that I think it could probably have done bad things to cars sucking it into their engines. I know that the Anchorage airport closed down because of the ash.

To top the week off, the house heater is refusing to work. I keep dropping into the basement and fiddling with it, but it won't stay on when it does get going. I would think it was ash got into it, but we have been having trouble with it since long before Redoubt went off, I think the trouble it that the fuel nozzle deal has clogged with rust from water having got into the fuel tank outside.
