Healthy Choices

I had really been thinking I could get more of a chance to get out and ride my bike this summer, but I have found that there are two drawbacks to that plan. First, I never have a chance to get out and go places when I want to go, needing to plan ahead not only for myself, but for whoever else in the family is going to help me with my dad at the time. This is not much of a problem, since I would not trade off taking care of my dad for anything, but it does make it a little hard to go walking at a set time every day or to get out and ride my bike in the evenings every night.

I'm thinking very seriously about requesting a treadmill for my birthday present this year, since the one that I have is all messed up. Taking some of those fat burner pills things along with regular indoor exercise on a treadmill could be a good substitute for getting out hiking since that is such a difficult thing to fit into the day. I also need to work out something for ditching the sweets that I fall back on when I am stressed out. Can't ditch the stress, so just getting to ditch the things I like to munch on when I am stressed would be a big help.

This month I picked up a bag of sweet oranges to munch on when the sweet cravings hit, that worked pretty good. I need to get more of those in June as well as some sweet grapes and other good fruit stuff to take the place of brownies and cookies.
