I'm in Washington now. Sunny, but tis also cold from a wind that has picked up today and it is looking like there might be some storm clouds on the way here. It is good to be in Washington - until I remember why I love Alaska so much. Which happens every time I see a spider crawl across the deck toward me (twice so far today), and as I remember the way Washington storms are (hate lightning), Then there are the ticks, snakes and other nasties Alaska does not have, things that Washington overflows with.
Getting where I am was a bit of an adventure. We hit the Anchorage airport at what we thought was on time, only to find we had a hour to wait before we could check in for the flight. One that was then apparently re-rescheduled. Don't'cha just love air travel?
Got to Washington safe'n sound though. Then drove and drove and drove... all day. Got to where we need to be though. And I must say, if you are ever traveling through Washington and end up in Moses Lake, look for a little drive through named Woody's. Wonderful service and I highly reccomend the hot fudge sundae.
I have some pictures, but can't download them at the moment. Will try later.
