Drafty doors
Sitting at the desk trying to work right now, my feet are freezing. There is a freaking cold wind blowing through the house from the gaps around the front and back doors. The weather stripping is non-existent and this has created gaps in the door frame area that I swear, I could throw my dad's cat through. I've tried buying the weather stripping material that you put around a door frame to reseal it, but over the years the bad seals have warped the wood in the frames so that the weather stripping stuff is too thin or too thick at various places along the door frame. The back porch has some things piled on it, so it at least has wind deflectors stacked around on it to help break actual wind making the draft worse, but the front door, when the wind blows toward it. Only thing to be done is stuff whatever I can into the openings around the frame and hope it does not freeze closed.
