Starry Night

One of the problems with Alaska in the summer time is that by the time it gets dark enough to see the stars, it is the middle of the night. I used to love to lay out in the yard in Washington and gaze up at the stars as they glittered overhead. My parents would go camping in Big Bear down in California and we would watch the stars. Millions of tiny diamonds scattered across the dark expanse of the sky.

Last night I watched Doctor Who and they were laying out on the grass looking at the stars. It was very cool to hear the character of Van Gogh describing the way the night sky looked. Made me wish to out and lay on the lawn and watch the stars sparkle in the sky.
