On Wednesday I went in for the next phase of getting work as a caregiver - a TB test. I was not too concerned about having TB, since the only person I have ever even heard about having it was Doc Holiday, and I never met him... Although I did walk around Tombstone and sit at tables he might have sat at... hmmm... maybe I should have been a bit more concerned about it?
Okay, kidding aside, I was not too worried about the test outside of a hesitance on if it was like a flu shot and they used a watered down strain of the thing to test for it. But the nurse assured me it was not a vaccine, just a general test that checked my immune system. I have to go back today and hand over my arm for inspection so they can see that there was no reaction to the injection, then I get a clean bill of health that I can turn in to the health care place to go along with my other stuff like my First Aid / CPR training.
Next step is paperwork, lots of paperwork, then they'll run background check on me and it's a matter of waiting. And waiting... and waiting. And being driven insane by the waiting.
