I downloaded the Firefox add on called WorldCoolers - this is apparently a group that shares information on articles on Global Warming. I find it highly amusing that the first notice I get from them is for an article on December 29, 2006 that talks about a 25 square mile chunk of ice that broke off the Ayles Ice Shelf at Ellesmere Island in Canada. And what exactly is amusing about that? The fact that the ice, which is now 19 square miles in size according to the article, is apparently still debating on rather or not it wants to go meandering its way westward toward the destruction of oil-drilling platforms and shipping lanes.
Seems like a little bit of Mother Nature justice that the ice might go play havoc with oil platforms. Huh?
