Satellite internet?

Ah man, I wish I had seen this before I got DSL the other day, now my DSL is scheduled to be all hooked up tomorrow. (YAY!!)

Would have liked to have checked out the satellite internet though, might have been cheaper out here than DSL. Definitely something that would be good if I lived further out than civilization has encroached upon me though, since like satellite television it can go where no cable has gone before. ::snicker::

MyBlueDish.com would like you to take a look at WildBlue Satellite Internet and see if it might solve the headaches of having dial up and no way to upgrade to DSL because of remote location. I know a magazine editor that lives in the mountains of Washington that could use something like this at their offices. Must remember to speak with them about it.

And that's what it is meant for, the rural user that can not get DSL or cable Internet. Places like, oh, say, a miner's cabin out in backwoods Alaska or a secluded wilderness lodge.

The MyBlueDish.com website says that 9 out of 10 customers say that they would recommend Wild Blue to a friend or neighbor. That's pretty good in my opinion.

They have satellite internet for under $200 in some markets and packages that start at $50 per month. That's almost as good as the DSL I am getting put in here and a lot cheaper than DSL was here the first time I looked into it a few years back.
