FAA Flight Delay Information

Getting ready for a trip can be crazy enough without wondering what the traffic at the airport is doing, so I decided to see if there was any way that measly little travelers like us can see just what is going on, and you know what? There is!

Check out the FAA Flight Delay Information for the Air Traffic Control System Command Center. Select the region or airport that you want to see flight delay information for and it will bring up a popup window (if you select region it shows a map, if you type in airport or city it brings up a list of matches), select the airport you want and it will bring up information on conditions.

For example, I checked on McCarran in Las Vegas and got (click to enlarge):



I checked multiple airports including several in Alaska and Hawaii, getting information on the traffic for them. This is definitely something I am linking to in the sidebar here, and checking any time I decide I want to go somewhere by airplane.
