Between playing with a new cartography program and getting a storyboard wall built in my office I have been fending off e-mail viruses today. I can't figure out what it is that drives a person to make a virus. I guess the conspiracy theorists woulf say that it is the antivirus software manufactureers that are making the things so that they can sell more programs. Let a few slip through to their customers and they are assured of selling updates. Whatever the source of the things, I know that I am tired of having to delete one virus or another that is trying to get into my computer.
My other activities today have been to put cork board on the wall behind my door to create an area where I can pin up 3x5 cards and create a storyboard area. The space is too small to be used for much else and makes a perfect location for the storyboard.
I also downloaded a demo for a cartography program. The program is actually intended for use by Game Masters in creating worlds for Role Playing Games, but it works very well for making maps of dungeons, towns, cities, kingdoms, even whole worlds for use in writing novels. I will be adding a link to the program on Phantascene.com after I have checked into the program a bit more and can offer a good review of it.
