Without A Trace spoilers

Okay, if you are a fan of Without a Trace and have not yet seen the season premier, please do not read further, I'd hate to spoil anything for you. It's procrastination time and, since I am still bouncing about last night's episode, you all get my ramblings on the series in general and this season's premier in particular.

Okay, that should have put this off the main screen for most web browsers... on to my comments on the episode.  I loved it!!!  The reactions of Danny throughout it were so wonderful, Enrique Murciano did an absolutly magnificent job of showing just how much having his partner shot had affected Danny.  I must admit that I had not cared for any of the cast other than Eric Close when I had started watching the show, but Enrique is quickly getting to be my second favorite actor on the series.  (Anthony LaPaglia is third favorite btw and just so you all know, if CBS does something stupid, like gets rid of Eric Close (who plays Martin Fitzgerald) I have absolutly no qualms about no longer watching the series.  Eric Close is why I began watching and is the only reason I have not missed even one episode.)

Anyway, back to spoilers.  Someone I could lose would be Poppy Montgomery (Sorry Poppy, nothing personal).  I like Samantha Spade, but there is just something.. I don't know.. if someone had to go, I'd vote her out.  And my next spoiler is one that had me and one of my friends (who is very against Sam and Martin being an item) bouncing in our seats - it looks like Samantha and Martin are about to split up (And, ohhhhhh I see LOTS of Martin angst! :::bouncing::: I so hope the producers, writers, and cast all take advantage of the wonderful scenes they could provide not only for Martin, but for Danny as well.  Them two could have such a great buddy buddy interaction going on that has been building up with comments Danny has made about Sam and Martin.)

And last, a complaint.  To all shows in general that have main characters injured.  Why is it that a main character can be shot and spend HOURS in the operating room being saved, then be on the edge of death and yet, when the next episode comes along, they are back up to full health and bouncing around?  Why don't anyone hire continuity experts anymore?  Shouldn't the character's recovery be allowed to be a small part of the plot for a few episodes?  Without A Trace has done far better on this than most shows.  They have handled injuries to Samantha with her having a few episodes to recover, and they have shown Vivian getting progressively worse over a few episodes.  So I am going to be MAJORLY dissapointed if, as I thought I saw in the promo for next week's episode, Martin is back up and bouncing around the office next week.  He needs a little downtime, don't he?  Let him relax and be frustrated at not getting to work on a case or something.  Let Danny tease him about being lazy or just laying around while Danny is out busting his ass.

Okay, enough ramblings.  I'll shut up and get back to working on my website.  And btw - if anything I said remotely resembles anything that shows up on the series later on, it is a complete coincidence and had nothing at all to do with these ramblings.  But, should anyone wish to steal an idea from me, I'll more than gladly give up any and all claims to the idea to the kind folks that bring me Without a Trace each week. ;-)  Thanks for the best show on TV and the only one I watch anymore. :-)
