Dolls for the holidays

Here's another good inside task for avoiding winter. Playing with Dress Up Games and Dollmakers. I love creating little decorative dolls for use as avatars and such for my websites and mostly just for fun. Right now, as Halloween nears, is the time to make some good witch dolls such as this one. But before long I'll be wanting to make a bunch of holiday dolls for Christmas such as cute little Santa's helper elves like the one shown below and such.
I urge you to check out The Doll Place and their doll maker if you haven't already, it's a great way to spend some time and you can make wonderful personalized avatars for forums, chats, games, websites and more. This is a particularly good site for anyone with kids to entertain.

Another idea - have your kids make some dolls that can be used by them in telling a story. Great for home school projects in creative writing. Kids can create anything from regular dolls to mermaids, centaurs, and even aliens. Have your kid make a doll and then write a story about the doll explaining who the character is and why they have on what they're wearing or where they're from.
