Okay, it's taken me a couple of days to recover, but I'm home now. I'd went off on a vacation for a few days to visit friends in Georgia and go to a Keith Urban concert in Atlanta. Had a lot of fun and got lost multiple times. Even saw Josh Turner at the fair, but accoustics in the outdoor open barn-like thing was awful and we decided to wander some so by the time we were trying to decide if we went back or not we were close to the exit and had a loooong walk to go still (1.5 miles to get to the car). So instead of going back to concert we went out and went looking for the hotel. I missed getting his autograph. ::pouts::
We stayed at the Westin PeachTree Plaza hotel, all the way up on the 65th floor, magnificent view but I'm not too sure about the housekeeping. Carpets seemed stained and the halls getting to the rooms looked more like the halls of a low cost Super 8. The view was enough to make up for the flaws, however, and I would most deffinately stay there again. Never made it up to the revolving restaraunt on the top, which was a pity, I was really wanting to see that place.
Keith Urban put on one hell of a concert and even though I did not get to see him out back I did get to see several of the band and more importantly (to me, I'm weird lol), I got to hang out with the roadies loading up the trucks and talk to Cowboy (head roadie) for a while in between his duties.
The chaos picked up when I tried to get home. That is a whole other post to itself, but in basics the plane had trouble so they put me on another one and sent me to Las Vegas, then they gave me a voucher for a hotel that had closed down their shuttle service two hours before I even landed. A guy tried to call the hotel for me but they said they were not running the shuttle again that night so I was left in the airport all night because no one from the airline was around to help me get out of there and I had nothing for cab fare. I had been supposed to be on a plane straight home from Atlanta, I didn't leave there thinking I'd need money. Stupid me.
Anyway, I'll explain it all in another post some time, right now I'm still exhausted from jet lag two days later. Was fine before I hit Vegas fiasco. ::shaking head:: Now I need a vacation to recover from my efforts to get home from my vacation.
