Looking for a telescopes for Christmas?

Get free shipping on Meade Telescopes, Celestron, and Bushnell Telescopes. These make great Christmas gifts for the holiday season.

Alaska is a bad state for trying to use telescopes, since half the year it is too bright out and the other half of the year it's too cold out, but my family still loves telescopes. A few years ago my dad and I got my mom a great telescope for Christmas since the year before she had got me and him and my brothers each telescopes. Her telescope, which we unfortunately have not had the chance to set up yet, includes a tracking motor so that after we set it to the star or planet we want to see, it will follow the object as it tracks it's course through the night sky. My mom and I still have plans to, one day, build a glass roofed viewing room in the top of the house so that we can enjoy the night sky in the winter time without getting cold. When you are talking -60 F to stand in the yard, it's too cold to watch stars, even the average 20 to -20 F we get here is too cold for that but I still do it anyway.

If you have a telescope fanatic in your family, you might want to check out the huge selection from this Elite Astronomical Telescope dealer, they have thousands of optical products in stock from cheap toys to the best top of the line products on sale and they offer free UPS Shipping on orders over $29.95.

Sandra, you are a life-saver... I was extremely confused over the past week thinking of what to buy Dad(whom I hardly meet) for Christmas, but your idea saved me... I remember as a kid that he was always a telescope fanatic... I'll get him a nice one now... thanks a ton...
