Since I was just doing some cleaning in the bathroom, I figured I would share a tip that I just found works wonderfully.
I hate having to use spray cleaners and such in the washing machine for cleaning the sides of the tub when it needs it, so this time I tried a new trick. I dampened a wash cloth and dipped it in a little laundry detergent and scrubbed that against the sides of the tub. It is a cleaner that is supposed to be used in the washer so it is not going to leave any residue behind that might stain clothes when they are washed and the grainy nature of the soap powder acts as an abrasive to help clean the places where there is a tough water spot or dirt build up.
This idea was based on my always using hand soap and a wash cloth to get the rings out of the bathtub when it appears. The liquid hand soap making a perfect every day cleaner and not leaving any possible residue to get in the water the next time I take a bath.
