Staying up all night keeping an eye on my dad

Well, if you have been reading my Family C.A.R.E. blog for family caregiving, then you know that the other day my mom took my dad in to the hospital since his normal doctor could not see him before January and he was having some pains. Well, long story short, the doctor said dad would be dead in four hours, four weeks max and for mom to not even bother calling 911 if dad had a heart attack or anything.

Here it is roughly a day and a half later and dad's still doing good so the four hours was not very accurate. Still has my mom so concerned for how my dad is doing that she's unable to sleep unless she knows that I am awake in case dad needs anything. That has me sitting up through the night and sleeping in the late morning and early afternoons.

At least it has it where I can get some work done, so I guess that is one benefit of sitting up all night.
