The wind today decided that it was going to blow just right to hit straight on at the crack in the door jamb, so I got up earlier and was freezing, went up to see if we had run out of heating fuel again and traced the source to the front door.
The weather stripping has been there for over 6 years now, so it's not exactly doing a perfect job (not to mention the guys that built this house did not know anything about carpentry), anyway, the wind was hitting just right that there was a noticeable icy draft coming in through the door. I tucked a small lap blanket along the floor in front of the door and used a thin butter knife to slide a second one into the narrow gap between the door and the frame, that stopped the cold wind from getting inside and it has been slowly warming up since.
Temperature outside is a windy zero Fahrenheit with a lovely sun in a clear sky. So unfair it is cold when it's beautiful out there.
