ATVing in Alaska

I went out on the ATV yesterday and got a nice picture of the view just before you drop down behind the Lions Club in Big Lake, this is the trail following the power line behind Big Lake and up to the store up there.

Alaska has some of the most beautiful scenery for riding an ATV in, I love it. It's always changing and what you see at one point is completely different from 5 miles one way or the other. For example, this is the scenery from last week on a trail following another power line just a few miles north of where I live:

The most significant difference - the still visible scars of the Miller's Reach Fire of ten years ago, but the terrain itself is different as well. Flatter and more open than the area around the town of Big Lake.
