1408 Movie staring John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson ... do you believe in ghosts?

Do you believe in the supernatural? Are you a skeptic? Renowned horror novelist Mike Enslin (Played by John Cusack in the movie 1408) was a skeptic. Until he checked into room 1408 of the Dolphin Hotel.

That is the point where the 1408 Movie takes off into a wild ride of making a believer out of the skeptical Enslin.

In the movie Cusack's character faces frigid temperatures, frightful visions and a room that refuses to let anyone out alive.

I love the scene in the trailer where Enslin calls his wife on the computer and asks her if she called the police and she tells him, "They're in 1408, the room's empty."

I'm not sure if that there are hauntings such as Enslin experienced, but I have seen ghosts so I an fairly sure there is something beyond the bounds of this world we know. I find the scene where his wife tells him that room 1408 is empty to be a great sequence in the 1408 Movie in part because I love the possibility of pockets that can lead into other dimensions and spaces that are just outside of our own place in time and space. I have heard of tears in the very air, 'doorways' to -- who knows where? From sources that I trust to be telling me what they believe to be fact.

Is there something more than we can normally see with our own two eyes? Possibly. If nothing else there is enough possibility to make movies like 1408 a thrilling "what if?" ride that I am certainly going to try and get the chance to go see and, because my dad's such a Stephen King fan and I'm such a John Cusack fan, I'll be buying it the day it hits DVD.

For now, check out the trailer below courtesy of DimensionFilms to see why I am so interested in this movie.

This post is NOT a paid post - I just stole the picture and link information from a paid post opportunity because I wanted to spread the word even more about this movie. ;-)
