I may have found the perfect mailboxes for rural living

I think I have found my answer to the snow plows and kids with baseball bats that attack my poor mail box out there on the road. Not to mention having my mail box so far away from me. Check out the mailboxes that Mailboxixchange has to offer.

The mailbox I have included a picture of here is a nice one that I have my eye on. Oak leaves and acorns twining up along the front of a specially designed box that you build into a stone pillar on the roadside. You can get them so the back opens up so that you don't have to stand in the street to get your mail. That is a BIG selling point for me since my mailbox is along a busy highway and the mailman won't let me move it any further back than right at the edge of the pavement. With no curb there it is dangerous to try to check the mail because you have to stand in the traffic. What I really love about this particular series of residential mailboxes is that I can buy one that lets me have the mail dropped down into a large chamber below the box. Perfect for when I can not get out to check the mail for a few days because of bad weather. It is intended for someone that is on vacation, but I think it would be great for anyone with a mailbox that is out away from their house like mine is. You can even get one that has a built in newspaper holder under the mail box part so your newspaper can dump down into the bin too. And they are built so the mail bypasses the paper bin, so there is no risk of your mail binding up in where the newspaper goes.

What I should really be looking into is either a row of those or maybe looking at the commercial mailboxes that they have available such as the 1, 2, 3 or 4 box posts with Windsor high security drop boxes mounted on them. They are like the boxes you put letters in at the store and other places, where the mail goes into a flap area and you can not reach into the box through the door. Heavy duty construction on them would make the snow plow driver think twice about wiping them out and since there are several members of my family living in this area we could all have our mail delivered safely to the side of the road instead of having to go all the way to the post office after it.

Aside from that absolutely magnificent mail box that I want up there in the picture, my favorite two things about the sponsor of this post, Mailboxixchange, is that they accept PayPal and they have an affiliate program. Check out the affiliate program while you are at their site. You can get $20 just for signing up.
