You know, the mention of having got sandwiches at Arby's reminds me of a grouch I had the other day when I got one of their chicken sandwiches. I am always amazed by how few people actually know how to make a proper sandwich. I guess it could be that I am weird or something, but I have a very set way that the stuff goes onto the sandwich and keep remaking the ones I get at fast food places and restaurants and such to make it properly.
My theory on a properly made sandwich is that everything has a match for what it best goes with. Mayonnaise next to the bread, spread thin so the flavor does not overpower anything else. Tomato then lettuce, lots of lettuce. If there is cheese on the sandwich the cheese goes on next. Meat is next, with the bread that is against the meat having another thin layer of mayonnaise. If you have mustard on the sandwich you can omit the mayonnaise on the bread that is next to the meat, if you put both mayonnaise and mustard on the sandwich then the mayonnaise is against the bread and the mustard is against the meat.
And this ends your random "Sandra really needs to go sleep" babble for the evening, I'll not bother you with my pet peeve about properly made sandwiches again (well, maybe on my Diet Tracker blog, but not here... at least not tonight... O:-))
