Wild Alaskan Cranberries

I went out in the yard yesterday and picked cranberries. We have some wild Alaskan cranberries growing in a sparsely wooded area out behind our garage and I decided to go out and see how they are doing. They are just perfect right now for picking and putting away for making homemade cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I just picked one bowl yesterday, but I plan to get out there before the end of the week and pick a bunch more of them. Want to be sure we have enough for both holidays and maybe even get enough to can some cranberry sauce.

I took the below picture while out there picking cranberries, I really like the way the bowl filled with cranberries looks nestled in behind the small spruce sapling.
